Sioux County Sportsmen’s Club Legendary Sportsman of the Year Award

Application Criteria and Instructions

 

This award was created in 2006 in order to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions in Sioux County to Conservation.

Nomination forms are accepted by the Legendary Sportsman committee year round.  Before each annual banquet nominations are reviewed by the committee and the winner is selected.  Only one winner is selected each year.

The winner receives a plaque and recognition at the annual banquet.

Nominee requirements:

  1. Must be a living or deceased resident of Sioux County or have made significant contributions in Sioux County.
  2. Must be a person who exhibits a high personal standard of ethics in relation to outdoor pursuits.
  3. Must be a person who has shown a strong history of promoting conservation and outdoor pursuits.

Nominations may be anonymous.  Applications that are not selected will be kept and reviewed the next year.  Nominations may be turned in to any SCSC board member.

Please provide as much detailed information as possible when creating your essay.  Any information, stories, or examples that the applicant feels is pertinent can be included and will be considered.
