Board Members

Looking for people interested in being a board member. At this time we have quite a few people on the board that are over 50 years old. We are looking for anyone, especially younger people, that would be interested. Rock Valley, Ireton and Hawarden are areas that could use more representation. If anyone is interested you can contact a board member or email [email protected].

Calendars

We still have calendars available to purchase if you are interested. Go on the website at www.siouxcsc.org to purchase or contact one of the board members listed below. As a reminder, each calendar sold will be tied to a specific number. Each week of the year a number will be drawn to win that week’s gun. Each calendar can be purchased for $35. Calendars will be sold until we are out of them.

Also, we are getting the 2020 calendars started. If anyone is interested in being a sponsor on the calendar please contact one of our board members asap. The 2020 Calendar will have a nice selection of firearms and gift cards in it. The calendars will be available soon. You will be able to purchase these at locations listed on the website or by contacting one of the board members. This is a joint effort between the SCSC and PF Chapter #36 going into a separate fund with the money raised potentially doubling and being used for land acquisition. Website again is www.siouxcsc.org .

Land Update

This past year there has been 15.6 acres added to the Rock Wildlife Area west of Rock Valley and on the north side of the walk trail. This is a very nice addition to this area.

The land acquisition committee is working on another piece which would add approximately 35 acres to another existing wildlife area. Updates on this piece will be in the next newsletter or on the SCSC website. Stay tuned.

With your continued support of the Sioux County Sportsmen’s Club, we as the board will work hard for you to improve existing areas and acquire new wildlife areas in Sioux County insuring that our youth and future generation have a place to enjoy the outdoors. Thank you.
