Hello to all of You!  I hope summer is treating you well. Thank you for all the support this year. Here is a update on some of the things going on within the Sportsmen’s Club.

It’s hard to believe the club has been around for 25 years already.

This year’s kids’ events were a great success. Be sure to encourage youth to attend these events, especially those who have not been introduced to the outdoors before!

  • At the Outdoor Skills Day this year there were almost 200 kids attending. It is awesome to see so many kids interested in wanting to learn different skills for the outdoors.
  • Kids Fishing clinic was a great day filled with lots of excitement and smiles about 120 people came and we were able to provide some great prizes to the kids for various contest. Thanks to all the Volunteers and the Sioux Center Library for their help.
  •  Thanks to the Sioux County Conservation Board and all the volunteers for putting on these events.

Junior Board

We are currently seeking some young people to serve on a soon to be formed JR Board. We are seeking people between the ages of 17 and 26. We are hoping to have each community in Sioux County represented. The expectations of the Jr Board and its members will be to do one fundraiser a year, volunteer at one kid’s event, and help at the banquet. If you think yourself or someone you know would be a good fit to be on the list of potential board members, please contact Kyle at 712-578-1425 and I will give you more information.
